Cryptical Envelopment
Feb. 20, 1971
Capitol Theater

A well delivered Cryptical opening a psyhadelic flood gate for a very strong single kit drums and an adventurious Other One.

Playin' In The Band
Feb. 20, 1971
Capitol Theater

This is an early stripped down version. There's no extended jam, or Donna screaming, just the basic song, deliverd well!

Not Fade Away
Feb. 20, 1971
Capitol Theater

Single kit opening, Phil comes in changing the bass line then transitions into a tasty, energetic Not Fade Away on a Goin Down the Road sandwich.

Truckin'
Feb. 19, 1971
Capitol Theater

First song of the first show of Micky's hiatus from the band. Billy more then makes up for his absense, providing a hard, rolicking, steady beat.

Tennessee Jed

Kezar Stadium

A must listen Jed!

Dire Wolf
Nov. 29, 1970
Club Agora

Thanks darkstar 67, the 04-15-70 Lai & Gucka source is so clean and very well mixed. That Dire Wolf version is the same length as the one from the Club agora show, but a different solo, better I think. That show has a different set list then the other two 04-15 recordings. I wonder what's up with that!
Brokedown Palace
Nov. 29, 1970
Club Agora

Bad recording, but a good, heartfelt, version of this wonderful song.
Dire Wolf

Club Agora

Bad audio, but a good heartfelt version of this song, Jerry was at his "high-lonsome" best on this one.
Mister Charlie
Dec. 7, 1971
Felt Forum, Madison Square Garden

This was one of Keith's very early shows. He was already contributing some very nice piano parts to these songs, which was a very new thing for the band. This song has a lot of energy and good playing, good choice, Cucamonga!
Sugaree
June 21, 1980
West High Auditorium

I agree with all of the above statements. This song, as well as the entire show, is exicuted and mixed perfectly, or close to it. Jerry"s singing and Bobby and Brent's harmonies are so good. It is a little weird that 50 seconds into the song the crowd noise completely drops out of Jerry's vocal channel. But overall, I love this version.
