Let The Good Times Roll

Opener from an 89 gem in Cincy. Whole band comes out energized, but this one really cooks when Bobby hits the falsetto vocals (all night long!!).

Sometimes one little nuance makes a particular version. For me, the 9 notes Jerry hits right after Bobby's "I love St. Louis, city of blues" line are just exactly perfect in 8/25/72. Find myself wanting to hear it that way anytime I hear BT Wind.

This is criminally underrated here. Jerry's voice in the last 'aaaaround' of the come arounds is just so damn sweet! Stellar version from a stellar show.

Has to be one of my fave Bobby moments of all time.

Another one who believes this is the GOAT version. Wore out two cassettes of China/Rider, Sailor/Saint, Terrapin from this 6/15/85 pre-drums Set II segment and all of them are among my favorites of all-time for those tunes. Phil is just dropping bombs at the end of Sailor, Jerry is on fire the whole duo and Bobby is just crushing the vocals.

The last OOOWWWWN-ly love can fill by Jer before his outro solo is just so excellent. Then the disintegration into what seemingly had to be Drums - CAT was the 5th song of the set - only to dissolve into Sailor (which would eventually lead into D > S and then Saint) is just bonkers. Truly unique and what a damn show and performance.
