Mind Left Body Jam
March 10, 1993
Rosemont Horizon

This is really cool. Jerry starts off slow and builds things to where the melody is strong. He then backs off and Vince takes the lead, doing a really nice job. The whole band wraps things up and it turns into a weird short jam that dissolves into Drums. Great stuff for 1993.
China Doll
Feb. 9, 1973
Roscoe Maples Pavilion - Stanford University

This is a really nice version. Aside from a few spots where his voice falters, Jerry sounds great. The instrumental break was so good it made me think how well a China Doll Jam would be. Backup vocals are spot on. Really good stuff.
Passenger
May 17, 1977
Memorial Coliseum

You have to be incredibly wasted to even think this comes anywhere close to being the best version ever.
Its All Over Now
Sept. 20, 1990
Madison Square Garden

This is not just the best version of It's All Over Now, but it's a highlight of how great the recent Dead could be. This version stands out because of the solos that Vince, Bruce and Jerry take. This is some serious rock & roll.
Spanish Jam
Feb. 14, 1968
Carousel Ballroom

The drumming is military. The music is creepy. It gives the effect of seeing a battalion of rag-tag soldiers, barely alive, marching on to face their next and final battle. Eerie, to say the least.
