Bertha
Sept. 26, 1981
Buffalo Auditorium
Inconsistent, but at times brilliant. Set position is insanely good.
Dear Prudence
Dec. 30, 1991
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum
This is a Mind Left Body Jam. Why do people have such a hard time identifying such a distinct piece of music? Listen to something labeled as MLBJ then listen to the Jerry Garcia Band do Dear Prudence. You will see they are two completely different melodies.
Dark Star
Sept. 21, 1972
The Spectrum
The same thing is happening with That Would Be Something. The #1 rated version is from Dick's Picks 17 - it starts out with an unlabeled MLBJ. When you take away the MLBJ, it's just pretty average. 4-5-95 is much better.
Man Smart, Woman Smarter

Dark Star
Sept. 21, 1972
The Spectrum
There's a big-time problem with this. There's a Mind Left Body Jam that starts around the 30 minute mark. This should be labeled as Dark Star>Mind Left Body Jam. You can't give Dark Star credit for something played at the end of it that isn't Dark Star.
