Hard to Handle
July 1, 1970
Winnipeg Fairgrounds
The only recording available, it starts in the middle of the instrumental break.

Cool uptempo version with solid vocals.

Hot one on Dick's Picks 5.

Sugar Magnolia
Oct. 5, 1984
Charlotte Coliseum
A very strange opening - it sounds like Jerry doesn't want to play it.

Death Don't Have No Mercy
Sept. 2, 1968
Betty Nelson's Organic Raspberry Farm
Only part of the intro survives, but what's there sounds good.

Don't Ease Me In
Oct. 17, 1981
Hippodrome
Both of the instrumental breaks are really good. The first by Brent, then Jerry. Towards the end of Jerry's solo, Phil comes bouncing along, lifting things to a wonderful conclusion.
I Want To Tell You
May 24, 1995
Memorial Stadium
.....this is scary. The vocals are terrible and Jerry's guitar work is mediocre at best. This was a bad idea.
Don't Ease Me In
Feb. 22, 1992
Oakland Coliseum Arena
This version is pretty much standard fare for 1992, but the highlight of the song is Vince taking the lead for the first instrumental break. He's putting out a rockin' rollickin' good time with those keys!
We Can Run
July 2, 1989
Sullivan Stadium
The band just opened the show with Playin -> Crazy Fingers -> Wang Dang Doodle and then here comes Brent with this depressing lecture of a song to bum everybody out. Do we really need this - seriously?
Don't Ease Me In
June 30, 1974
Civic Center
The soundboard has the typical first song issues for this time period. At least you can hear Jerry's guitar work during the instrumental jams and the second one is different and enjoyable.
