Best Acoustic version I've heard from a lesser appreciated show...Jerry's vocals are spot on and very and some very nice soloing. Tops any Warfield

A very consistent version of a song they had a hard time with live. Better than any Warfield version I've heard.

New Speedway Boogie

Studio- Wally Heider

Unknown date, released on the "Fallout From the Phil Zone" cd. The performance is on par with any of these, and the sound quality smokes them all.

Yet another wonderful experience, ruined for me by the awful sounding '73-'74 vocal mics
Estimated Prophet

Oakland Auditorium

Great though the jam might be, the grating off pitch harmonies by Jerry and Donna eliminate this one from contention as a best ever performance. Also the mix on the Mosque show is far superior, which isn't what we're judging here but does contribute to how enjoyable the listening experience is.
Playin' In The Band

Swing Auditorium

This is the one for me. Steve hit it on the head with thoughtful. I'd add mellow, innovative and unique, although the vocal part is fast and tight. It goes in some really interesting directions. Wrapped around a superlative, triumphant Wheel and you have a winner.
Stella Blue

Winterland Arena

Easily the best Stella I've heard, possibly the best single Jerry solo.
Mississippi Halfstep Uptown Toodeloo

Raceway Park

Yup. You guys nailed it again. Beautiful quiet jam in the middle rockets this one into the stratosphere.
