Fun S2 opener at one of the most overlooked shows of the year.

Great opener at perhaps the most underrated show of the year, at least based upon the ratings here...I have it as a Top 25 show of '72.

Box of Rain

Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall

I think November '72 was the best period for this song, and this one is no exception. Phil crushes the ending.

This has to be one of, if not THE heaviest version. Showing no signs of fatigue after the all-time great show they uncorked in Düsseldorf two nights prior, you can tell they mean business from the start here...

Compare this to the version from Düsseldorf two nights prior, and you have the difference between the two shows overall IMO. Both are very energetic, but Düsseldorf's is wild and crazy, whereas this one is studio-tight...

Bob's rhythm playing during the jam is fantastic on this one! This could be the best night of the tour for the guitars...

Chiming in again to say that merryjerry nailed it: "never sounds the same twice."

A song I sometimes groan to see in a setlist — sacrilege to some, I know — but I love this version! Top 5-7 show of the year IMO
