Nice jam into "Truckin." Can anyone id the organ lick Brent throws in just before the transition?

Tight, solid version. Some nice harmonica playing from Pigpen.

The vocal jam at the end is also a highlight.

Almost all of the stellar jams in this show (and there are many of them) have a "Dark Star" vibe as well. Get the AUD or Seamons matrix, it's unbelievable.

Really wonderful stuff. Great 11 minute pre-verse segment that gets pretty intense at times. Lots of Phil driving this one, Keith is also shining. Short, coherent feedback with Phil in lead (listen to Keith again!). Gets pretty heady, then wonderful move to major pentatonic with a few minutes left. Seamless > into "Sugar Mag," which for me throws this version over the top. I hate hearing clunky or poorly done transitions and hold the bar pretty high; this well exceeded it. Don't personally hear the MLBJ, but there are a lot of rhythmic similarities.

Great version until the final solo and that nasty cut at the end. Why didn't they patch that?

Garcia is the perfect mix of exploratory and patient. Phil powering groove. Nice performance of outro material (dynamics help this section considerably, who knew?).
