It Must Have Been The Roses

In addition to the great playing throughout this first set, you can grin at the several musical references to the Derby that the boys threw in.

Light first half of a titanic encore. The anniversary's coming up, might as well give the show a listen...

I know most folks are indifferent re this song, but this type of mid-tempo bouncing shuffle is one of the things I love most about this band.

Not Fade Away

Uptown Theater

I was thrilled to see a new Hunter Seamons matrix of this, since the second set is essentially what I'd have them play if I were to write one. This is, to my ears, the only transition that isn't horribly mangled. Jerry moves to the major towards the end of Space, then sets up groove for NFA.

Yeah, this is great stuff. I thought the first set (till this) was the weakest of this three-show run, but everything from "Queen Jane" on resonated with me.

Holy s, that was a fantastic jam and very unique! Top shelf band improv here. I wish the box set hadn't broken these into two tracks!

I didn't care for the short and bumpy >, but everything on both sides was superior. Some nice performances from Bobby especially here!
