I Know You Rider

Ivar Theater

Gorgeous moving tempo. Phil dropping some powerful leading vocals here. Bob sounds great here as well. The energy is beautiful. Back up keys are great too. It is very quick like some of their earlier stuff, but I'm surprised this version doesn't get more attention. What a treat. Great job. Amazing recording of it as well, really grateful for that. A extremely deserving up vote. Awesome!

Eyes Of The World

Winterland Arena

I really think they nailed the tempo here. It's grooving with some funk and Jerry's vocals are top notch here and they really got the "feel" right her. Great groove/tempo/feel and vocals and everyone is locked in engaged. I love Jerry's solo on this one, again capturing that great tone/feel to EOTW. A phenomal '74 eyes of the world <3
Dark Star
Feb. 18, 1971
Capitol Theater

One of my favorite Dark Stars. Yes, the dark star is on the shorter side. But it's really on the shorter beautiful sweet side. Utilizing every second. This was the first time Wharf Rat was introduced live, and its incredibly it arrived inside this Dark Star sandwich . .It blows my mind to this day and continuously. The Wharf Rat is extremely well done and Jerry does wonderful on the lyrics and the band is very focused engaged and accurate. The Dark Star jam like others had said and to its name, is beautiful; the perfect word. I really enjoy it. The introduction into Wharf Rat is done very well and is butter smooth and using it's short time VERY well. Overall the Dark Star is beautiful and deserving of top 3 and so is the Wharf Rat.. - Deeper and bigger and beyond that, the song/sandwich and whole performance, is one that stands out in Dead history throughout all the decades imo. A must listen. This is one were I repeatedly say THANK YOU so so sooo much for having a great recording of this. Really grateful for that, we lucked out!
