This has always been my favorite version, saved me from a bad trip once actually. Is it just me or is the way he says "caught" from the the line " but the devil..caught.. me there" just.. well.. I donno..very soul touching?? Jerry's voice especially soulful in this one is what I'm trying to say.

I'm a little surprised this isn't the second or third rankings. This is by far my most cherished version of Mississippi -> Dancing. The version of the I have off the winterland 77 set doesn't sound perfect, when they reach certain notes it sounds distorted and Jerbear's mike sounds distant and echoes at the beginning then cuts into a more full sound. I actually like the way his mike sounds off in the beginning- not sure why though
