Brown Eyed Women
May 25, 1972
Strand Lyceum
A crisp and powerful rendition, as good as any from Europe '72.

He's Gone
Sept. 19, 1972
Roosevelt Stadium
This one has a great transition jam into TOO. Hopefully a better sounding recording emerges someday.

Stella Blue
Aug. 12, 1972
Sacramento Memorial Auditorium
This one's got more pep than a lot of '72 versions.

He's Gone

Berkeley Community Theater
Great summer '72 version. Right up there with Veneta.

Cumberland Blues
July 21, 1972
Paramount Northwest Theater
Chock full of heady summer '72 goodness. It's not quite 04/08, but tasty nonetheless.

Playin' In The Band
Dec. 12, 1972
Winterland Arena
It's a 1972 Playing, so of course it deserves attention! The jam in this one doesn't take off like others from late 72, but the reprise is very well executed.
Alligator
Feb. 24, 1968
Kings Beach Bowl
The whole sequence is amazing. I recently noticed that Jerry quotes "And We Bid You Goodnight" around the 5 minute mark of the 2nd Alligator.
Dark Star
Dec. 11, 1972
Winterland Arena
I love the tonal shift about 12 minutes in.
Playin' In The Band
Dec. 11, 1972
Winterland Arena
Boy, this one just cries out for a full SBD. What we do have sounds amazing.
Playin' In The Band
Dec. 10, 1972
Winterland Arena
After some initial sound issues, this one takes off, and the jam is outta sight! It doesn't get as intense as others from this period, but the band's interplay is outstanding.
