Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Jan. 12, 1979
The Spectrum

Out of a great NFA, this Going Down the Road rocks, Weir is strumming chords like a madman and Phil drops a few bombs for good measure, give it a try.

Not Fade Away
Jan. 12, 1979
The Spectrum

Great version, slow powerful into then 14 + jamming minutes from an underrated show. Wish there was a SBD, give it a listen anyway.

The Mighty Quinn (Quinn The Eskimo)
Dec. 30, 1985
Oakland Coliseum

Must give a nod to the first one, the only one I know of with a middle Jerry solo.

Greatest Story Ever Told
Aug. 20, 1983
Frost Amphitheatre

Just exactly perfect, the moment when Jerry starts his solo and the sound wave pulsated through the crowd.

Sugar Magnolia
Dec. 30, 1985
Oakland Coliseum

Very aggressive transition into Sunshine Daydream, someone calls out 1, 2, 3, 4 and then bam. Worth the listen.

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider

Veterans' Memorial Coliseum

Following a great Looks Like Rain, closes the 1st set in fine form, check it out.
Let It Grow
May 14, 1978
Providence Civic Center

30 Trips show, heard this Let it Grow on the Tapers Section back in 08', took a few years to vote it into my top 10, it is worthy, very patient jam, like the entire show and then whooom, hyper space, (just saw The Force Awakens) the finale is awesome, check it out. The entire shown is worthy.
Lazy Lightnin' -> Supplication
Nov. 2, 1977
Field House - Seneca College

Very hot, the jam after the Supplication vocals is amazing, incendiary. Should be voted higher.

Hand’s down the best of the best, what a way to open a show, Since we just had a Fall 77’ official release (Dave’s Pick Vol 12 Colgate University) , it may be awhile till this show is given is rightful due. Wow, just listened to it again.
