Abstract and foreboding, but boy it winds down in a beautiful manner. That jam into "Sugar Magnolia" is one-of-a-kind stuff. There are many fantastic "Dark Star" performances, but this one will probably always be my favorite.

Some of the grooves they get into on this version left my mouth agape. Just the most spectacular version I ever heard, and part of one of the best live sets ever.

The crowd's call-and-response here is just brilliant - it's hard to find a better audience than this. Everyone is completely into it and I LOVE it.

The pace of this one is hot. Love the little snare rolls during the chorus - gives it a sorta chugging feel. Jerry's solo feels very country-leaning. Just an awesome version from an awesome show - I thought this was one of the year's very best!
