There was no show on the 16th, you all are thinking of the 19th in Eugene, I was there, was a 3 day stand, 17,18,19...and the 19th was one of the best shows of the year, top 3 IMO...

I think every pitb jam is unique in that it is Grateful Dead psychedelia jazz, but the pre 74 hiatus pitb's are particularly amazing, they are just pure musical exploration, and even deeper than any pure jazz that I know of, and I'm an old school Miles Davis fan so I'm not just talkin shit. They were talking and traveling with jams like this...

The word is that 2 babies were born in the audience during this S>F, and one of the women didn't even know she was pregnant, it was in fact the scarlet>Fire that impregnated her and caused a hyper fast fetal development and she gave birth at the end of the fire, at least that's what I heard in 87 on shakedown at the Pittsburgh civic arena show...
