Cryptical Envelopment
April 6, 1969
Avalon Ballroom

Can't just have The Other One listed for 69. Cryptical Envelopment matters, people!

Death Don't Have No Mercy
Feb. 15, 1969
Electric Factory

How this one has not been submitted already is beyond me. Peak era, amazing show all around.
2
Turn On Your Love Light
May 30, 1969
Springer's Inn

This one goes to "cow bell". Great end to a thoroughly wonderful show.
3
St. Stephen
May 30, 1969
Springer's Inn

Can't get enough of SS in 69; perfectly cromulent and into a dynamite 11 (as usual)
4
St. Stephen
April 26, 1969
The Electric Theatre

Wonderful St. Stephen totally representative of the era; Bobby doesn't even toss out a quip.

Comments

Alligator
May 24, 1969
Seminole Indian Village

Preceded by what, no doubt, is the worst telling of the "Yellow Dog" joke, ever.
The Eleven
June 5, 1969
Fillmore West

The OP for this entry wrote: "Jerry doing Jerry things" and I thought that was too good not to share.
Morning Dew
June 5, 1969
Fillmore West

Criminally under-rated, mind-bending solo in the final minutes.
Hard to Handle
Aug. 6, 1971
Hollywood Palladium

The Jerry solo in this is everything. To 'headdead' two comments up; yes, that's the way I heard it too. Strap breaks, Jerry falls to his knees to maintain control, solo continues, crowd goes wild. :-)
The Other One
April 6, 1969
Avalon Ballroom

Read The Other (One) comments here. Should be much, much higher.
