A laid back one. Phil's bass and Billy in the groove.

Everyone is on for this one. Great vocals, even by Donna. Why isn't this getting any love?

Sugaree
Nov. 7, 1971
Harding Theatre
Listening at volume on earbuds, I like how crispy everyone sounds. Phil sets down a heavy bass line, there's an interesting back and forth between Jer and Keith. Bob has an excellent sound and is fairly high in the mix. Strong vocal by Jer. I quite like it.

A gem. It smokes. Phil! And yet here it is, unloved by all but the ones who have heard it and have shook their heads in disbelief. I tell you, it's a shame!
Box of Rain

The one two days before gets the votes. This should get more love if only because of Phil's vocal.
Bird Song
Sept. 19, 1972
Roosevelt Stadium
Way more folks need to hear this. I thought I had heard most of the great versions, but i did not discover this until late in 2024. Not sure I would put it in my top 10, but it should be on page 1.
