Takes you right to Chicago. Jerry’s playing emulates the blues greats. Hard rocking version that reminds me of a Junior Wells cut. Highly recommend.

Wonderfully creative. Tapping into that stream of consciousness that Dark Star is so well known for. The Feelin' Groovy>Tighten up jam really takes the weight off the heart after exploring some deep and dark places. Lovely version with a short and sweet Bobby solo during Tighten up, and a superb thematic jam at the end with Jerry summoning rainbows with each pluck of a string.

Hardcore psychedelia. Ice cold playing with their telepathy on full display. Pigs organ tone is lush and adds SO much to this version. Feedback, chainsaw ripping playing, what a juggernaut. I can hear Dr.Frankenstein shouting “ITS ALIVE” as you hear this monster come alive. Some of the tightest and most locked in playing I’ve ever heard from the band, Billy and Mickey are stomping like giants, and destroying everything in its path. Pure destruction. Everything I love about primal dead.

Plain gorgeous. The Dead in 71 were the best damn saloon band of all time, taking a powerful Stonewall Jackson tune and taking it to church. Jerry does some wonderful squeals on the guitar that really ring like a bell, beautiful and timeless.
