Supercharged Billy at the helm deconstructing and building layers of structure like a master architect. Some of his most inventive fills put to record

Notable for coming straight out of Cumberland and the alternate lyrics “And I Grabbed the Bottle, Grabbed Him in the Jaw” A cowboy classic.

Firing on all cylinders right out the gate. I'm certain Jerry's fretboard caught fire after that first solo. Impossible not to groove to.

Delicate. Like a last waltz of the cowboy and his love, with each lick from Jerry conveying the urgency of the story. Keith makes such an impact here.

Part of the beginning is cut off, but that doesn't stop this train from rolling on down the mines. Short and sweet.

Almost gets to tiger levels of crazy. Very powerful version that could genuinely go on and on forever and I wouldn’t be mad. A true dreamscape.

This needs to be listened to. This is pure psychedelic cowboy music that puts you right in the story. One of my new favorite versions. Just perfect.

The transition jam is some truly heavy stuff. Like being pulled into an event horizon through the sheer gravitational force of it. I used to dismiss this version but upon returning to it, is one of the most unique versions out there. Jerry is the de facto leader of this jam as well. Captain trips isn’t a title that’s easily obtained, yet here he shows us exactly why he’s called that.

Just completely flows. The entire band is on, but specially for the era, I gotta give Jerry his flowers. He absolutely takes over, taking this song to higher peaks. Neon jamming. Absolutely awesome. The 80s has some amazing moments. Also have been digging 11/30/80 as of late.
