There will be no more songs...only Jam.

Terrapin Station

No skid on this ride. Seamless and sync'd, a (rare) flawless vocal from Jerry, and who else but Brent to take us to space.

Tennessee Jed
May 14, 1980
Nassau Coliseum

Typical sloppy '80 Jed, until Jerry starts inventing scales. It's like he finds a wormhole to a parralel notational grid.

Wharf Rat

Greensboro Coliseum

How dare Jerry defile the dissociative sanctity of the Wharf with such a filthy rip

Mexicali Blues

Single AUD source roughly patched and INC, but sure glad they caught Jer's solo here. Awesome show and it doesn't sound too bad considering..

To Lay Me Down
Sept. 26, 1980
Warfield Theater

After a bit of shaky night opening night to the Warfield acoustic run, the nerves have settled and we're into perfection
Bird Song
Sept. 25, 1980
Warfield Theater

"We figured, 'what the fuck?' Might as well try it." Incredible to hear how uncomfortable Jerry is without an impenetrable decibel force between the crowd. Certainly he's no stranger to playing acoustic, but coming out so raw in a proper Grateful Dead show? Shook.
Brokedown Palace
Sept. 6, 1980
State Fairgrounds

A rare, sloppy Brokedown tonight, and boy did they ever earn it.
Far From Me

Awesome overdrive>wah chain on Tiger here
Friend of the Devil
Sept. 6, 1980
State Fairgrounds

Easy to get swept up in Jerry, but I was taking a different ride on Billy's hi-hats. Combination of the tape + my EQ but mostly he's just laying it down straight as an arrow.
