Excellent conclusion to a Wharf Rat > I Need a Miracle > Bertha > Good Lovin'. From Road Trips Vol. 1, No. 1. Finishes with an energetic flourish.

Looks Like Rain
May 11, 1977
St. Paul Civic Center Arena

The "May 1977" box set has wonderful versions of Looks Like Rain - this one on the 11th and two other great ones on the 13th and 17th. Bob and Donna's beautiful vocals plus Jerry's cascading playing in the background = LLR heaven.
Cumberland Blues
Sept. 24, 1972
Palace Theatre

Like the rest of this show, it's worth listening to Keith because he is killing it. His playing in '71 and '72 is so remarkable. I don't think he lost it after that (there was plenty of good playing in the years to come), but he just seemed like his own force in those early years. Carrion_Crow, thank you for that perfect description of Cumberland, it is like a coal car speeding out of control! I love how it seems like it all might fall apart but doesn't. I remember listening to my first Cumberland from Europe '72 and marveling at how nuts things get by around the 1:30 point of the track. Great stuff! Also stick around for Phil and Bob sending a message on behalf of the fire marshall for people to stay out of the aisles. Made me laugh anyway.
Big Railroad Blues

Keith sounds like he's playing in a saloon, and I love that sound. Seems to mostly take place in his early years of '71-'72.
Drums -> Space

Capital Centre

I swear it sounds like Morning Dew is about to start a couple times near the end of Drums, which is a pretty cruel tease! A cool Drums/Space though, not something I'm always into but I like this one.
Promised Land

Hampton Coliseum

Great energy, great show! Worth a listen to the whole thing.
