Good Lovin'

Excellent conclusion to a Wharf Rat > I Need a Miracle > Bertha > Good Lovin'. From Road Trips Vol. 1, No. 1. Finishes with an energetic flourish.

Box of Rain

Thank you to everyone for your in-person memories (in this case, somewhereinthec in particular - that was wonderful to read!). I am obsessed with the GD now but was too young to see them in person. So I love to see the videos and hear the stories like this. Thanks for sharing the love. Edit: Just listened to an AUD recording and wow, the crowd really did just explode at the start! And it continues through the song, amazing stuff. Can't say exactly why but "this is all a dream we dreamed" almost brought a tear to my eye.
Row Jimmy

I'm generally a proponent of the '77 Row Jimmys, but this is just beautiful. The band has such a full and colourful sound in '89/'90, and one full of energy. I'm not saying they were better than in the '70s, but there is something here that you don't hear there.
Weather Report Suite
Oct. 18, 1974
Winterland Arena

Jerry's playing on the Let It Grow portion is incredibly fast and clean. It's among one of my favourite Jerry moments (at least right at this moment, haha). As to why the Weather Report Prelude/Part 1 was dropped, I have no insight about the band's thoughts. But in my opinion, it can be a bit of a drag - it goes on pretty long (the Let It Grow starts around 6:20 on this version). I don't want to badmouth it, I do think it's a beautiful song. But the vast majority of the time I'd rather get right to Let It Grow which, let's be honest, is the money part of Weather Report Suite.
Feel Like A Stranger

Hi sylvanriv, nice to get a response! I agree that there are some great versions lower than they should be. It's definitely worth it to look/listen past the first few songs on a list to find hidden gems. And I too am very pleased to see this one as high as it is. I just love this show! Finally, I'd like to second bcarter's comment about 5/1/81 - killer version there too!
Franklin's Tower
May 15, 1980
Nassau Coliseum

Hutchfield mentions a Mexicali tease, but I thought I heard a China Cat tease at the end? Hard to say, but really good version. Like commenter KeithGodchaux, I too will forever hear the Franklin's Tower at the end of Jack Straw, even though I've heard Jack WAY more times without Franklin's than with it. It's just etched in my brain after so many listens.
