Truckin'
March 7, 1981
Cole Field House

From a kind of under the radar show: Truckin out of space winds down into a spacey jam, atypical of the period.

Cryptical Envelopment
Sept. 3, 1985
Starlight Theater

Really, none of these '85 versions are all that great (except as novelties), but this one is probably the strongest. JG gets all the words right!

Bertha
Oct. 19, 1994
Madison Square Garden

Okay, so maybe Garcia drops some words (& even verses) here and there...it gives him an opportunity for an extra long solo, which winds around nicely.

Ripple
Dec. 6, 1980
Mill Valley Recreation Center

With the small crowd you can actually hear the band sing!

Crazy Fingers
Sept. 7, 1985
Red Rocks Amphitheatre

Classic version. Segues into Samson.

Eyes Of The World
Sept. 3, 1977
Raceway Park

My favorite of the 77-79 style. Gorgeous solos by JG. Band in top form.
Help On The Way > Slipknot > Franklin's Tower
May 16, 1993
Sam Boyd Silver Bowl

Nice long version from a solid second set.
Blues For Allah
March 23, 1975
Kezar Stadium

This whole show is one big jam, and worth checking out. Transition from Blues for Allah to Stronger than Dirt is superb.
Morning Dew
May 8, 1977
Barton Hall - Cornell University

Maybe you've heard of it, and think it's overrated. (I did for a long time). But listen to it: it's not. Maybe you prefer the softer 72-74 versions (as I do), and think this lacks subtlety. It does not. Whatever you think about Cornell 77, it cannot be denied that this is a truly titanic version. Essential listening.
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
May 26, 1973
Kezar Stadium

I remember being in a car and listening to this: when they hit the as-yet undeveloped D-key jam in the middle, and sort of hang in the air I felt like this was about as good as it could get. Superior version, and always my favorite.
