UPtempo and full of piss and vinegar, just how I like them.

Good Lord. Hello, new favorite jam sequence. Why don't you take off your shoes and stay a while?
Alabama Getaway

Nassau Coliseum

@viewtiful_alan Totally agree on the mix. Dick's 13 was one of the poorer sounding releases in my opinion. I never really thought this show was that great, for that reason, until I heard the AUD recording in the archive. SO much better.
Dark Star
Oct. 26, 1989
Miami Arena

Few if any will argue that post-'74 Dark Stars were a different beast. Many later era Stars to my ears sounded like little more than unfocused improvisation, punctuated by lots of MIDI Brent "tinkly-tinklys". THIS is not that. Not even close. I couldn't even begin to imagine what it must've been like to see this live. Infrared Roses from Hell. This gets my vote if only in that it is quite unique for a later era Star. Certainly not Top 10 or even Top 40 for me, though.
Lost Sailor -> Saint of Circumstance
Nov. 1, 1985
Richmond Coliseum

A nice video of this show used to be up on YouTube. There is serious onstage friction between Bob and Mickey during Sailor. Seems maybe Mickey was chomping at the bit for him and Billy to do their thing and Bob calls the first of a matched pair deep into the second set. Pissy body language and verbal exchanges. Not there anymore (in its entirety, anyway...11/2 is still up), unfortunately, but was amusing to watch.
Shakedown Street

It appears I'm in a minority here. While this Shakedown is undeniably hot, the synth pad that Brent uses towards the end of the jam sounds, to my ears, absolutely horrific and derails the jam. I personally prefer 10/25/79 and 12/31/84, but that's just me.
