The Spectrum

Nice vocal jam with the crowd taking part, only wish they jammed it longer. Brent sounds amazing on that Hammond, but is anyone surprised? DvP39

Brent tickling the ivories and Jerry noodling away, just beautiful. Builds into the drums really nicely. Released on Dave's Picks 39

Hard to Handle
April 27, 1971
Fillmore East

Wow, unbelievable playing on display. Jerry is just a fuckin magician, Phil dropping bombs with authority, Billy is absolutely grooving. I wonder why this wasn't chosen for the release, absolutely the best of the run and for me, tied for the top with the Chateau 6/21/71 (context of the show is pure Grateful Dead magic and the playing is par excellence) and of course, 8/6/71.

They were really on during April of 78 and this LIG is just another prime example! Personally, this one is a top 10 version
Lazy Lightnin' -> Supplication
March 10, 1981

Jerry: "why don't we do lazy lovin'?". He then proceeds to rip it up
Big River
May 14, 1978
Providence Civic Center

Ludicrously underrated, from an outrageous show, nonetheless
