WOW. i've been searching for a slower chilled back version of Sugar Magnolia since i started my chronological journey. there's one version available on streaming services where bill holds out on the snare and only hits ever other time, but then they kick into it and play it like normal. not this one. bill is SUPER CHILLED OUT on Sugar Magnolia here. i LOVE THIS and is now my favorite and i highly recommend this version specific ally. this is on May 5th, a band anniversary. This is the first time they ever played it in full like this, similar to what they eventually did with several songs, like Friend of the Devil, or even Bertha on this same night! I still have 3 more nights to go with the Get Shown the Light box, and I'm loving this. I'm only at 6/6/70 right now, so it would've taken a while to find this haha now, any else will be a treat!

the semi-extended intro to this is blissful, and so is the entire rest of the song. this is my personal favorite out of their entire known available discography.

new deadhead here. just went through the entire available discography on stream chronologically and all i know is that THIS version HITS. this is at LEAST the heaviest version possible at the absolute very lease.
