Playin' In The Band
Sept. 21, 1972
The Spectrum

DP36 is plagued with guitar tuning issues that really undercut the brilliance of the playing at this show (I'm looking at you, Bird Song). However, they get in tune just enough to lay down this masterpiece, led by Keith putting on a clinic in jazz chording.

18 minutes of sheer bliss
Playin' In The Band

Apparently Bob is backstage puking his guts out, so the second set starts with an exquisite 20 minute Jerry wah heavy Playin-esque jam that leads into a great Jack-a-roe. Bob is back onstage to kick off a killer Playin’>Shakedown>If I Had The World to Give>Playin’ sandwich. Extremely unique second set here that I would recommend to every Head!

One of the most oddly constructed second sets you will ever see, but it is fantastic!
