‘73 mellowness is evident, but damned if it doesn’t work. Yes, like many from this era, the chord changes in the break suggest St. Stephen, and Garcia leans into it a bit here— compare with 5/20 for a ‘73 version with even more St. Stephen (later they altered the chord changes, so no SS post-hiatus). EDIT: Carrion Crow pretty much covered it above
