I often skip these early ones, but when you pay attention they can be mesmerizing--every instrument plays a unique part, Jerry sings the hell out of it, and Pigpen's organ adds a lot here

I wouldn't say any version prior to 1972-09-09 or subsequent to the hiatus is the 'best ever'! Plus there are overdubs on this unless you've got a two-track version... Pretty nice though
