The last halfstep of '76. After Rio Grandeo everyone including the crowd gets into it. The source is a B+ AUD.

This one is fiery, especially the solo, in the vein of 8/24/80, including a hint of a Delilah Jones growl.

The Other One
Jan. 22, 1978
McArthur Court, U of Oregon

I hadn't listened to this show in a while, but darkstar67 put it back on my radar a couple of weeks ago and I finally listened today during an epic August jog. (Can't call it running - I'm moving too slow.) This one will stack up with whatever golden era of Other One shines most brightly in your kaleidoscope. The entrance out of drums is strong and, of course, the solo Jerry Close Encounters bit is classic stuff. I believe that the playing gets better as the song goes along - and for me the strongest section is the conversation that Keith and Jerry have in the minutes between the verse where Bobby hops on the bus and Close Encounters. If it's possible, I suggest that you find a copy with gapless playback. Henrikson put one up on the deadpod a few years back: http://deadshow.blogspot.com/2014/01/dead-showpodcast-for-13114.html

This is great.

Something's not right when solo 2 starts and Jerry is inaudible for a significant period of time. Make it to 6 minute mark and you'll hear him try to make up for it and, of course, that's great - but not worth a vote.
