Weather Report Suite

Winterland Arena

Awesome 17+ minute jam. Very sharp, jazzy leads - a rival of 11/11/73.

Blues Power!!! Jam just keeps building and building, and is funky as hell!

Let Me Sing Your Blues Away

William and Mary College Hall

Maybe the only version of this song I like!

Dancin' in the Streets
Dec. 29, 1969
Boston Tea Party

Gets pretty spacey, sounds like they hint at Tighten Up a little...

Boston Music Hall

Probably some of the funkiest Phil I've ever heard

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Feb. 3, 1979
Market Square Arena

A+ version right here. Like grendel says, the bridge jamming is insanely hot. The transition is nice and smooth, and then we get a raging Fire with Jerry just ripping the jam with tidal waves of notes. Awesome!

Uptown Theater

Epic!!!
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Feb. 5, 1978
Uni Dome, U of Northern Iowa

Sure hope dannyc is being sarcastic. This is one of the very best ever, though I think 4/24/78 and 9/2/78 are a little hotter.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Sept. 2, 1978
Giants Stadium

This version without a doubt has the all-time best transition between the two songs; the jamming is just totally otherworldly. MAJOR x-factor on this one, and I can definitely hear why it's Dick's favorite.
Let It Grow
March 25, 1983
Compton Terrace Amphitheatre

Whoa. What this version lacks in precision it more that makes up for in apocalyptic shredding...between about the 6-8 min. mark is maybe some of the most insane jamming I've ever heard from this band. Words fail.
