Morning Dew

Polo Field, Golden Gate Park

Probably a "misdated" Dew, but no matter; this early version is as emotive as it gets

I usually prefer the China>Rider combo but this is a must hear version; Jerry really pours on the HEAT between the verses!!

Playin' In The Band

Music Hall

Unbelievable Playin' on this Playin', they fly thru at least a hundred different changes at supersonic speed. Billy is absolutely on Fire!!!

China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
March 9, 1981
Madison Square Garden

yes! one of my favorites of the '80s!!
China Cat Sunflower -> I Know You Rider
June 22, 1973
Pacific Coliseum

Absolutely DYNAMITE transition! Everyone is so on point and playing off each other brilliantly...Garcia shifting from tender beauty to speed-jazz, Phil thumping some crazy funk, Keith and Bobby filling in beautifully. What really makes this is the way everyone pauses during the Feelin' Groovy and then they just drive the jam home...wow. Probably a top-10 all time China>Rider for me, just amazing stuff.

Some very inventive jamming in this one
Eyes Of The World

Speedy melodic jams on this one. Cool Phil soloing at the end.

Nice one...a unique sound with the broken string
