Eyes Of The World
Sept. 21, 1974
Palais Des Sports

Really dark sounding jam dominated by Phil and Jerry. Some unique, jazzy soloing from Jerry too.

Public Hall

Fast, tight and energetic with really inventive Jerry jams in the trasition. One of the best of '73

As beautiful as they come! Pure Jerry!!

Playin' In The Band
Aug. 4, 1974
Philadelphia Civic Center

Wild, hairy, and at times scary Herbie Hancock-esque jazz in this one. One of the all-time best!!!

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Feb. 3, 1979
Market Square Arena

A+ version right here. Like grendel says, the bridge jamming is insanely hot. The transition is nice and smooth, and then we get a raging Fire with Jerry just ripping the jam with tidal waves of notes. Awesome!
The Music Never Stopped

Uptown Theater

Epic!!!
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Feb. 5, 1978
Uni Dome, U of Northern Iowa

Sure hope dannyc is being sarcastic. This is one of the very best ever, though I think 4/24/78 and 9/2/78 are a little hotter.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Sept. 2, 1978
Giants Stadium

This version without a doubt has the all-time best transition between the two songs; the jamming is just totally otherworldly. MAJOR x-factor on this one, and I can definitely hear why it's Dick's favorite.
Let It Grow
March 25, 1983
Compton Terrace Amphitheatre

Whoa. What this version lacks in precision it more that makes up for in apocalyptic shredding...between about the 6-8 min. mark is maybe some of the most insane jamming I've ever heard from this band. Words fail.
