Oh. My. GOD. The jam is long as hell, but the playing is hot. The peak at 18:52 is absolutley UNREAL

Positively dynamite, warp-speed version. May be the greatest ever!

Truckin'
June 16, 1974
Iowa State Fairgrounds

Excellent version of Truckin', but what really makes it is the Nobody's/MLB segments and subsequent jamming around these themes. Just amazing exploration with lots of energy to go around. They change gears with such skillful ease that they almost make it sound easy.

Oops! That's supposed to be 10-16-74.
Scarlet Begonias
June 26, 1974
Providence Civic Center

Hot version from an underrated 1st set that, for whatever reason, wasn't included on the official release (Dick's Picks 12). This show as a whole just might be a little better than 6/28.

The Ark

I'm a die hard pre-hiatus guy, but I second grendel's rec and will throw 10/15/77 and 1/22/78 into the mix. Guarantee they'll change your minds! ;)
Eyes Of The World

Dillon Stadium

Very strong version with lots of big time Phil, though this doesn't quite reach the majestic heights of, say, 6/20, 8/6, or 9/11/74.
