I believe this is the first ever Tighten Up jam - Phil and Bob intiate it when Jer breaks a string. Beautiful.

Really unique Star. Some unusual themes explored, including The Other One and Lovelight!

Endless 13 minute intro jam, the longest yet. Sublime DS jamming.

OMG! Most intense Sugar Mag jam ever! Jerry WILL NOT QUIT. Vocal entrance is real sloppy, but it hardly matters - you MUST hear this!!!

Dark Star
Aug. 24, 1968
Shrine Auditorium

Newpot is right. TFTV = 8/24/68 ONLY. The album mislabeled the date as 8/23-24.
Dark Star
Dec. 18, 1973
Curtis Hixon Convention Hall

Right after the MLB Phil drives them into a brief Other One-ish jam as well.
Weather Report Suite

Eyes Of The World
June 18, 1974
Freedom Hall

Next to 10/29/73, this is one of the tightest (and best) versions ever played. Phil owns his solo and the post song minor key sections really sparkle.
Dark Star

Civic Center

The pre verse portion of this DS is amazing with supple, jazzy ensemble playing, that wanders through many different themes. Things start to really cook around 15 mins. With Garcia leading the charge through a fast paced, bebop type passage that sounds like it might break into an MLB jam. The post verse space is very minimalistic, but segues into a hard hitting Eyes of the World. All in all this is one of the best Dark Stars of the year, and this full suite of second set jams maybe some of the best of all time.
