Of course my all time fav taper would be Fran from Baltimore. It would be remiss not to mention Fran. Got my first tapes ever from Fran 2nd gen off the tapes he made himself

This Eyes is fantastic regardless of source. Annnnd, I really like this particular source as well. There are many types of Auds good and bad. There's tin can, muddy filter, and wet shoebox, to name a few of the less desirables. I like Auds that have that booming hall effect. Hard to describe but I know it when I hear it. Mow, Ladner, Kouchky are some of my fav Aud tapers from the '80s. Great rec GRAVEROBBER

GRAVEROBBER, you familiar with Steve Kimock? Love this guy. He does killer versions of many Dead songs with interesting, groovy curveballs, etc. New Speedway is hot. This source's index of tracks is off by one. Source sounds fantastic and I love the venue. Been there many times. Small, intimate with killer sound. Incidentally this is Friends of the Devil's Lettuce
