Was just listening to the PITB from the July 1st show at Universal Amphitheater. I love that show and especially the China>Rider and the Playin’. That led me to revisit this show and version. To my ears, this is peak acid jazz era for some of these mid ‘73 versions. Jerry’s tone is simply amazing throughout

I will second that review. Great recommend. I’m listening now on DP30. I’m waiting for the part when the Cowardly Lion busts the flower pot and dons it as a crown. Then there’s the “oh shit, it’s the Wizard”, scene as the Lion runs down the hallway and makes his escape dive (through glass)
