Patrick Gymnasium, U of Vermont
Great recommend ^ haven’t fired this version up in a while. And neeshwu, sounds like there could very well be some more undiscovered gems for you in and around this era. Some of my favorite versions of this combo are from ‘81

Bird Song
March 12, 1981
Boston Garden
Nice rec OrangeTango. I’m listening to the Bird Song and it’s beautiful, soaring. Then the CC Rider pops on and I’m brushing my teeth so I’m not in a rush to FF to another song. I normally don’t listen to CC Rider much. But like many other Dead tunes, if you give it a chance it’s often worth the price of whatever admission is at that time in life. Not the greatest version but once again, Garcia does his thing. Nice show. Has a mellow, warm feel
