Worth it for the phone call that turns up a few minutes into Drums. What a mystery! Who were Doreen and Pat talking about? And why didn't she go down the club? This was 1990 so perhaps a signal from an analogue cordless phone in a house nearby got picked up by their stage equipment? And they sampled it?

What makes this version sublime is the transition from Bob's solo to Jerry. Bob's solo seems to build pressure / tension that is released as the baton is passed and Jerry takes up the story. Like petals of a flower opening or the sun rising - the opening notes of Jerry's solo have a revealing quality - and light the song with a flood of sense and colour.
