Moving and pwerful brings me to tears knowing it's the last thing he sang with the band. I honestly dont think this would be number one if not for it's historical stature but it does move me. The flubs of stones fall from my eyes instead of years and "last muddy river" just add poignancy.

Truly a rather heady version, lots of work by the boys but Jerry 's guitar is shinning on this version, good bobby vocals

Wow Jerry really makes the axe do alot of singing for him with the bronchitis kicking in this evening. Jerry and the drummers are particularly on in this version. Bobby does some nice work while Jerry is croaking out the second verse. Despite his voice failling this is hot and well worth the listen. Lots of the wah sound on the notes very funky version. Very quick transition into sugar magnolia
