Rocking ending to a rocking show. if the vocals were a little louder this would be near perfection.

Playin' In The Band
May 18, 1972
Kongressaal, Deutsches Museum

The blueprint for the mega jams that would emerge when this vehicle returned to the states, waste no time getting into the outer regions after the well sung verses by Bob with Jerry really note bending behind him and some tasteful backing from Donna, before she started totally taking over with the screams, these are a little more subdued and more in tune. Keith and Jerry lead the jam nicely out of the framework of the song and into its spacey segment. Very etheral sounding. Nicely bubbly lines by jerry overtop a nice mesh of keys and cymbal crashes. Jerry satrts accelerating the jam and its starting to cook at a quickened pace. Jerry is now just ripping and bending notes the keys and Billy are still intertwined Jerry seems to be building the tension now and keith seems to be locking on the jam is really heating up, around 7;30 Jerry starts playing some real sick funky lines which go for about a minute before rolling somehow into a return to the theme very cool.

Rockin closer to set one, get the box set the audience recordings on archive are not very listenable. Even on the board you can hear crowd response as they enter the tune. Jerry is signing this tight and crisp giving each line those extra little inflections ,also his tone on the guitar is piercing like a knife. Has all the good things you want from a casey jones, the jam is tight and Jerry rips it so nicely. Fleshing out some of these earlier reviews, will still get shit from some people but thats ok. Long live the Grateful Dead.

not me you self voting arrogant douchebag, i know more about the dead than you ever will, i wouldnt make such a foolish mistake, you are a petty angry fucking tool and i am so glad i have ruined your enjoyment of this site because i wish you no happiness you prick, typical togh guy behind a keyboard, using aliases and multiple accounts to attack someone you dont even know is childish. then you go and continually make false allegations. you are a sad pathetic little prick, oh yeah Fuck you and whatever moniker you decide to create to attack me with next.
Mister Charlie

Pigpen taking control Mister Charlie delivered with all the Pigpen charisma, Jerry is really playing sharp piercing while Pigpen sings, nice backing vocals on this, Jerry plays a real nice crisp up beat solo, some nice note bending, as most of the tour billy is just on top of his game playimg some interesting beats behind a wonderful Jerry solo. Pigpen comes back nice and strong for the AlligatorWine, Jerry still really ripping, Very spirited peppy version, love Jerry's playing here as well as his and Bobby's backing vocals, well worth a listen.
Promised Land

Very Keys heavy beginning chugging at a great pace Jerry hits the frst solo nicely it sounds like pigpen not keith really into it. Bobby blows a few words but they are going so fast and jamming so hard it's not a distraction second solo Jerry blazes with help from Keith on Piano. Billy K is pounding the beat so nicely the whole song, Brent killing the keys after third verse , but the boys cut the jam short. Choppy ending but rocking until then.
