Awesome with Bobby and Brent going back and forth vocally during the SSDD segment while the rest of the band tears the place down.

Aiko Aiko
Oct. 2, 1994
Boston Garden

Another well played late era Aiko. Not sure why but Jerry really dug into Aiko over the last 2-3 years, some very hot later era Aiko's.

Terrapin Station
Feb. 4, 1979
Dane County Coliseum

The jam after the not master portion is beautiful and tasty as is the exit jam which led into playin in the band which was also typical of the time. Not a ton of variation on the tour but a few tasty moments on Keith And DG's last go arounds with the boys.
One More Saturday Night
Jan. 20, 1979
Shea's Theater

If you are a fan of straight ahead Grateful Dead Rock N Roll this is a version for you. Jerry ripping that sweet guitar and Bobby just going bonkers with the screams at the end. Keys and drums driving it along. Only negative is Phi a little low in the mix, Still super hot Rock n Roll Grateful Dead style.
The Other One
Jan. 20, 1979
Shea's Theater

The jam from estimated into the other one is where the headiness really starts, through the other one into a hot drums space back into a short other one reprise into a nice 1979 Dark Star. Some just paint this whole tour with the no thnk you brush but they are missing this hidden gem. most of the shows on this tour were uninspired not this night. For the record Donna was not at this show. This version surely driven by Jerry, lots of nice guitar lines. Drummers are pounding along nicely with Jerry. Keith adds some texture and color to the jam. Jerry noodles the jam wonderfully into the drums segment, very cool. The transition from dark star into Not fade away sounds like a return to the other one.

powerful and popping one of the absolute heady moments from Egypt, this sounds great turned up to 11
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Sept. 16, 1978
Sphinx Theatre

Far from lame, but it does not get votes in Scarlet-> Fire because it has no scarlet. It is represented in the fire on the mountain category where it belongs since there is no Scarlet. I find it heady and certainly not lame. Egypt has some moments but it is not the blowout people hoped for when the concerts were announced. Dark Star on the night of the eclipse could have been powerful but if the music truly played the band back then maybe it wasn't in the air.
