Powerhouse blues number, this was always thought of as one of the best versions, shocked it is not here by now.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Dec. 27, 1983
Civic Auditorium

This one deserves more love. Long pairing.
Broken Arrow
March 27, 1993
Knickerbocker Arena

A song I always really enjoyed the boys playing, even Phil's vocals sound really good with this tune IMHO. This is a cool version, love when Phil would mime the tune to let the rest know what he wanted. Ie drawing the box and sprinkling rain for box of rain or pulling back and breaking arrow for Broken Arrow. A nice fairly rare treat.
Around and Around
May 21, 1974
Edmundson Pavilion

Country rock swing, back in the tape days i would've said this was my favorite (shocked I hadn't yet nominated this standout version). I am not so sure it still isn't near the top. Keith just goes off nicely near the end and bobby sings it with a nice confidence. Jerry delivers all his lines crisply at at a fierce pace. This version sizzles. I particularly dig the little jam with Jerry and Keith on this version, HOT!
Bird Song
Sept. 6, 1991
Richfield Coliseum

Beautiful swirling example, Bruce and Jerry lock in perfectly on this version a great version from the double keyboards era.
Samba In The Rain
Dec. 16, 1994
Sports Arena

I think had it been played in the first set and not every other day it would not be as hated. It would certainly not be beloved, but i think it would be less despised. I have never said i got to listen to a hot Samba but i have once or twice caught myself taping my toes to it when its on. I do think its one of the two or three worst songs they do but I do not know if i would feel as bad about it had it been a first set tune played every 5 to 8 shows instead of a second set number played what seemed like every other show in 1994 and 1995.
