Dancin' in the Streets

Cape Cod Coliseum

Super funky this has always been among my favorites. Love the intense disco funk jamming into an equally hot franklins tower. Easily among my favorite post Godchaux moments. The funk is thick and oh so joyous on this pairing.
Brown Eyed Women

THis is terrific Go listen to this. Jerry growling out the Delilah Jones is the mother of twins line is classic. Brent is killer nice bobby full band explosion at one point into the chorus

Wow this is the best smoky and jazzy really nice jazz groove,Bobby sings beautifully and the plying is swirling and jazzy a real nice exploratory jam, Jerry bobby med nicely with the drums. Phil just bopping through with an infectious beat. Really a lot going on in this tune. Real exquisite sounds timeless. THis is a monster the pinnacle definitely the definitive version to me.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain

Montego Bay Freeport Zone

Love the futuristic almost new wave sounds Brent is making during the transition, Jerry just floating and then Phil lays down the Fire theme real hot the Scarlet itself was a very jazzy fun affair, the Fire sounds like Jamaica a hot reggae inflected version. As someone mentioned they have played this show a couple times lately on the GD channel. This really is a delicious different sounding Scarlet Fire and well worth one's time. Lots of wah to Jerry's notes but like the rest with an island feel. The pairing really has an incredible tropical island vibe. The fact this was played as the sun was rising in Jamaica is so cool, jealous of all those lucky enough to be there.
