loved when they brought Aiko Aiko out of space. Added a spaciness to the party tune. Heady take into a hot Miracle.

Super funky this has always been among my favorites. Love the intense disco funk jamming into an equally hot franklins tower. Easily among my favorite post Godchaux moments. The funk is thick and oh so joyous on this pairing.

Phil just bopping through with an infectious beat. Really a lot going on in this tune. Real exquisite sounds timeless. THis is a monster the pinnacle definitely the definitive version to me.

Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Nov. 26, 1982
Montego Bay Freeport Zone

Love the futuristic almost new wave sounds Brent is making during the transition, Jerry just floating and then Phil lays down the Fire theme real hot the Scarlet itself was a very jazzy fun affair, the Fire sounds like Jamaica a hot reggae inflected version. As someone mentioned they have played this show a couple times lately on the GD channel. This really is a delicious different sounding Scarlet Fire and well worth one's time. Lots of wah to Jerry's notes but like the rest with an island feel. The pairing really has an incredible tropical island vibe. The fact this was played as the sun was rising in Jamaica is so cool, jealous of all those lucky enough to be there.
