Ramble On Rose

One of the earliest live versions ever and boy oh boy is Jerry into it. Belts out the lyrics. Quick tempo & a real joy to hear!

Weird how little folks seem to care at all about this tune. I love it & Brent does the Neville Bros. proud w/this version--as good as it gets.

Rippingly good early version with Keith way out front. Jerry and the whole crew rock it hard!

Great cadence to this one and some cool reverb effects lend a trippy mesmerizing feel to this fine entry from the Fox. Get the CM SBD source.

Sleeper alert! Garcia in complete command of this totally killer version--and never have I ever heard him phrase "you know this space is getting HOT!" like he does on this way under the radar gem. Great band flow--perfect driving rhythm throughout and a sweet end jam after the lyrics--what more could you want from this tune? Deserves to be way deep into the double digits by now--let's get this moving up.

^^^Totally agree. Swagger and slink and raw blues smokey-bar beauty right here. Bobby gives a darker than usual delivery--a devilish and menacing tone perfect for the tune proper and Jerry does not disappoint with his gritty guitar lines. Less polished than other versions (Bob for all his bravado struggles a bit recalling the lyrics) and it's a shorter rendition than some but delivers the goods in a nice first set placement.
Pretty Peggy O

As unique a version as you'll ever find of this tune...starts out with a most non-PeggyO-ish grunge riff and then chugs along with a brisk pace that nevertheless includes long flowing Garcia be-bop licks of lusciousness. If you like quicker renditions that still deliver the pretty picture of this tune this is a good lower board listing to check out

Check out Jer's "won't you lay it on the liiiiiiine..." (and his commitment to the vocals in general on this really fine version languishing for no good reason low on the board). Not to mention the fantastic guitar work throughout. This show deserves way more attention and this Candyman is just one reason.
