I've been dousing this show recently, but this Cumberland needs to be on here, notes are just pouring out of Garcia's guitar like nobodies buisness

Morning Dew
Jan. 3, 1970
Fillmore East

Any show that opens with a morning dew is certainly going to be heavy. This is no different, a mind-blowing show, and an explosive dew. Good call.
Wharf Rat
June 20, 1983
Merriweather Post Pavilion

A powerful apocalyptical storm only adds to this absolutely moving performance. Phil decimates the pavillon with his bombs. Jerry, you can really feel the sadness in his voice as he progresses through the lyrics. A beautiful version, that is best heard on the AUD
Death Don't Have No Mercy
Sept. 29, 1989
Shoreline Amphitheatre

This solo is hendrix territory. Not even overrating it, just listen. This fucking rips a crater. Absolutely smoking, Garcia is in the zone.
Me and My Uncle
May 7, 1970
DuPont Gym - MIT

This song truly does embody the Grateful Dead way of true cowboy acid rock. Always loved the song, and this version does it justice. Bobby and Jerry dueling it out during the breaks just add to the great dynamic that these cowboys songs provide for the band. It allows them to set up for the greater improvisation they play later on. Its a kind-of warm up song, but has its own flair of vigor that does justice to the country scene in its own right.
Ship of Fools
July 4, 1989
Rich Stadium

The band said that after the show too. Excellent rendition.
