Turn On Your Love Light
June 27, 1985
SPAC
One of the best Bobby versions. They tear this one up. Bobby's possessed. Jerry's on.

Killer run of "Stranger" -> "Eyes" -> "GDTRFB" -> "MSWS." What a great run at the end of June.

Sweet bustout at Keith and Donna's last show. Jerry's solo is great.

Fast, a bit sloppy, but Jerry's having a great time here.

Brent works so perfectly on this song.
Terrapin Station
June 23, 1993
Deer Creek Music Center
I'm gonna have to agree with an earlier post that the "Terrapin" itself is not that great, that Jerry's vocals are off and the song never catches fire. But the jam...this is as good as anything they've ever pulled off. It's dangerous, mysterious, rocking and completely volcanic.
St. Stephen
Jan. 22, 1978
McArthur Court, U of Oregon
It says a lot when a song so closely associated with the Dead's psychedelic period (1969-70) has a version from almost 10 years later ahead of it, but this one deserves it. A hard charging, creative and just plain awesome "St. Stephen."
Terrapin Station
Oct. 1, 1994
Boston Garden
An outstanding late "Terrapin." I think one thing people don't talk up enough at this show is Jerry's vocals. His 'old man' tone aside, his singing is very strong throughout. Obviously, the belting on "So Many Roads" and "Stella Blue" is super powerful, but this "Terrapin" is really something special thanks to Jerry's delivery. It's a song that was often riddled with miscues and forgotten lyrics post-Brent, but this one has Jerry on target and his phrasing is super creative and clever during "Lady with a Fan." Fantastic playing throughout. Vince is excellent here.
Eyes Of The World
Sept. 12, 1981
Greek Theater
This "Eyes" goes into a dark place towards the end that I never heard in other versions. Creative, spooky stuff that flows well into "Drums."
