One More Saturday Night
Dec. 18, 1993
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

Really fun, rocking version to close out what's really an excellent show. Top 5 of 1993.

Loose Lucy

Madison Square Garden

Spunky version from the first night of the last MSG run. Jerry is alert, singing with confidence and playing extremely well.

Fuck this song, but the entire show is now represented. Decent Jerry leads.

When I Paint My Masterpiece

Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

Lovely version of the Dylan classic. Jerry plays some great leads and his acoustic tone works extremely well here.

Not the biggest fan of this song, but this is a good version with a strong Jerry solo.

Wharf Rat
Dec. 31, 1990
Coliseum Arena

By far, the spookiest, most haunted "Wharf Rat" I've ever heard. Jerry's voice is shot to shit but man is it effective. Great, great performance.
Wharf Rat

Polo Field, Golden Gate Park

This is a deeply haunting performance of "Wharf Rat." So much feeling. Goosebump material, one song where his tattered later voice really added depth.
Dark Star
July 13, 1984
Greek Theatre, U. Of California

Man, this version is truly special; it balances the line between mellow and heavy so well; a smooth, after hours 'space lounge' kind of Dark Star. I guess it's not really a 'dark' star, more or like a mysterious star.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Oct. 14, 1994
Madison Square Garden

I went into this just thinking that it was a 'great for 1994' version, but this one would kick ass in 1977. They really make the most out of the length here, it's powerful, creative and just endlessly exciting. I listened to it while sitting in traffic and time just floated by, I was so locked into it. Killer, killer version.
Scarlet Begonias -> Fire On The Mountain
Oct. 14, 1983
Hartford Civic Center

How is this not Top 3? The tropical intro gives this one an incredibly unique vibe; the space jungle-y vibe people often attribute to different versions is perfectly conjured here. Pure engine music, everyone is firing on all cylinders. We need more 1983 shows.
