Beat it on Down The Line
Oct. 3, 1994
Boston Garden

"Beat It" beat it after this one. Abrupt, sloppy lead-in but the song itself is tight and enthusiastic.

I was shocked not to see this one from the famous PPV solstice broadcast.

Phil's all over this one. Really urgent upbeat version.

Hell in a Bucket

Great opener for Vince's second show. Jerry's solos are rippin' and Bob's possessed. Nice subtle work from Vinny.

Surprised this ain't here. Lyrically perfect (another Clive ad lib from Bobby) and Jerry kills the transition jam.

And We Bid You Goodnight
Sept. 26, 1991
Boston Garden

Seriously love this one so much. 1991 was really the last full-on great year and while these weren't the last shows of the year this Boston show and especially this bust-out final version of And We Bid You Goodnight has an air of finality to it that's so haunting and bittersweet. The next shows were the Oakland ones after Graham died and the vibe was fundamentally darker.
Dark Star
Sept. 26, 1991
Boston Garden

Imagine those who were there on the 24th hearing this and thinking they were just gonna do the second verse to complete the previous one, and instead got a brand new, full length DS. This is a massive version that could use more love. Only 9/20/90 and 4/1/91 beat it for the Hornsby era.
Around and Around
Jan. 25, 1993
Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum

Gotta agree with Donnie here - they sound like a fucking wedding band on this one. Well played, but the timbre of the jam is pure schlock.
Good Lovin'
May 26, 1995
Memorial Stadium

Really would like to see this spicy "Good Lovin'" get some good lovin' from the folks here. May 26 on home turf, always a good time for the Dead.
Satisfaction
Oct. 10, 1982
Frost Amphitheatre

Best "LLR," best "Sailor -> Saint," best "Cassidy," best "Throwing Stones," a blazing "Sugar Magnolia," and the best "Satisfaction." Bobby was indeed the star this night. Great show.
